On 7 September, Lithuania's Ambassador Lyra Puišytė-Bostroem presented copies of letters of credence to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Principality of Andorra Maria Ubach Font. The Ambassador will present the originals to the Bishop of Urgel and the President of France.

The bilateral meeting, which took place after the ceremony, discussed prospects for the development of bilateral relations between Lithuania and Andorra, as well as possibilities to strengthen political, economic and cultural relations, to deepen cooperation within international organisations, and to promote mutual tourism. The Ambassador invited Andorra to participate actively in Lithuania-organised international forums on life sciences and financial technologies.

The Ambassador will also attend the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Andorran national anthem, a solemn concert on the occasion of the feast of Our Lady of Meritxell, the patron saint of Andorra, and a meeting of the EU Ambassadors accredited to Andorra.

The Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in the Kingdom of Spain is accredited to the Principality of Andorra, the Argentine Republic, and the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).

Lithuania and Andorra established their diplomatic relations on 13 May 1997.
